About the restaurant.
m2 is situated on Magasinsgatan in central Gothenburg. The location itself means a great deal of refreshing competition. Restaurants are particularly abundant in the area, and many of them are topnotch. So what is m2´s niche?
m2 is a lot like a living room. There´s a definite limit to the number of people you can fit in. This means that the cosiness factor is high. Some would call it intimate, and they might be right. It´s a place to come home to.
The food of m2 has been acclaimed locally as well as globally. We recently got rave reviews from The New York Times, and we have a steady reputation among our guests, many of which are regulars. Our food is of course what has taken us where we are today.
But we are also very proud of our wines. We keep a constant assortment of around 300 wines. In short, we take wine seriously. There´s a wine for every occasion. In fact, there might even be a couple to choose from. We are always happy to propose what we consider the very best for each guest and the meal he or she is enjoying. We truly believe that it is the unique combination of food and wine that makes a meal memorable.
